Yesterday Mariah and I went to get our family signed up at the YMCA. We did work out for a little bit after we signed up but left early to get ourselves a cute workout outfit and gym bags. It has to be more fun when you look cute, right??? I definitely think that a cute outfit will be a good reward for meeting our fitness goals down the road. Before we would just treat ourselves to a huge dessert which is probably how we got to where we are now! Today we went again and actually worked out for a whole hour. The best part is that it didn't even feel like that much because we were actually enjoying it!  I don't want to get too optimistic but it already seems like we have a great habit going. I know that it is up to me to make sure that we schedule this time and make it a priority.

I can honestly say that I have never seen Mariah so excited for a work out and that is an awesome thing for me. She actually wanted to talk the whole time we were there instead of having headphones in the whole time which is an added bonus to this. It feels so good to be able to connect with her and be doing something so good for ourselves at the same time.

It is a little intimidating to be in the gym though. So far we have stayed off of the machines but I know we can't avoid them forever. Everyone else on them just seems to be in good shape but I have to remind myself that they had to start at some point. We do get a free fitness orientation with our membership so maybe that will help for us to know our way around them a little bit.
